READY FOR SUMMER: As the peak of summer approaches, Fendi lands in Mykonos, opening a boutique in the jet-set hot spot of the Cyclades archipelago.

The unit is the brand’s first in Greece and is located in the high-end shopping destination Nammos Village, located in the south of the island.

Inspired by Mediterranean culture and local architecture, the 969-square-foot store is housed in a two-level white building, with sunlight filtering inside through elongated windows.

The interior combines natural elements, with oak flooring with light blue resin inserts and a ceiling made up of white joists and bamboo. Raffia wallpaper and nautical-themed elements define the dressing rooms, while furnishings include bespoke travertine pieces mixed with wood, rattan, and bamboo pieces.

The unit also has two terraces, designed to give continuity to the interior ambience with their light blue resin floor, raffia and bamboo furniture as well as colorful handcrafted ceramic vases added as decorative elements.

NEW DELHI : Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices hit new highs on Friday. The price of ATF rose 5.29% to 1,23,039.71 per kiloliter in the national capital. On May 2, it was brought to 1 16,851.46 per kilolitre.

Airline fares, which are already high, are expected to increase further with the latest hike, as ATF prices make up a large portion of an airline’s operating costs.

“If we compare current domestic airfares to what they were in January, fares have increased by 30-40% on average across most sectors. Compared to the same period last year, airfares on some popular routes have increased by more than 50%,” said Aloke Bajpai, group chief executive and co-founder of Ixigo.

Over the next six months, he said, much will depend on the outcome of the Russia-Ukraine crisis and whether there is a resolution on the table to drive down oil prices. “Travel demand remains weak compared to what the industry expected it to be due to high airfares,” he said.

Rising ATF prices continue to dampen industry profits, with prices in May 2022 being 89.2% higher on an annual basis (year-on-year), according to a recent Icra report.

Since the Russian-Ukrainian war broke out in February, the oil market has become more volatile and crude prices have hit multi-year highs, before easing to some degree.

Oil prices fell on Monday as traders booked profits. At the time of writing, the July Brent contract on the Intercontinental Exchange was trading at $111.00 per barrel, down 0.49% from its previous close. The West Texas Intermediate June contract on the NYMEX fell 0.3% to $110.16 a barrel.

Prices are expected to be high, analysts said. “China’s industrial production and retail sales data released today (Monday) showed signs of mounting pressure on the economy under a zero-tolerance policy,” said Ravindra Rao, Head of Commodities Research, Kotak Securities.

On Monday, China reported lower retail sales and industrial production in April. Retail sales fell 11.1% in April from the same period a year ago and industrial production fell 2.9% in April on an annual basis. The economic slowdown in China is a major concern for the oil market as the country is one of the biggest importers of the raw material.

Despite the volatility in the oil market, retail gasoline and diesel prices in India remained unchanged. In Delhi, gasoline is sold 105.41 per litre, while diesel is priced at 96.67 per liter. Retail transport fuel prices, which directly affect the common man, remained unchanged for about 40 days after rising by 10 per liter from March 22 to April 6 due to soaring oil prices in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

East Jennifer Garnier struggle Jennifer Lopez to control his own children? A report says Ben Affleck is caught in the middle of an uncomfortable family feud. The gossip cop investigation.

‘Ben’s 2 Tense Jens huddling around the kids!’

Speak National applicant, Garner sets up a face-to-face showdown with Lopez to discuss their families mixing. “Jen Garner called the meeting so she and J.Lo could get to know each other better and put aside any mistrust they have for each other,” a source reveals. Garner’s three children and Lopez’s twins must get along for Lopez and Affleck to succeed.

Apparently, Lopez and Garner have very different parenting styles. Lopez’s kids “are used to a jet-set lifestyle…while Jen is more of a traditional stay-at-home mom, despite her successful movie career,” a source said. Garner, on the other hand, supposedly wants to make sure his kids stay grounded. She also thinks Lopez is “tasteless,” reveals another source, but the focus is on the kids.

What’s going on with Lopez and Garner?

the Applicant desperately trying to make something out of nothing. Jennifer Garner and Jennifer Lopez have already started to merge their families without too much incident. They went trick or treat together last year, so that both are aware of what needs to be done for the good of the children. Earlier this month the two families were spotted together one more time.

Since the two families are already merged, there is no need for confrontation about this. This outlet is simply trying to foster drama when the reality couldn’t be further from the truth. Garner hasn’t said a stray word about Affleck or Lopez since they started dating, so the line about the two benign “tasteless” twos is worthless.

The gossip cop also wants to point out how these so-called sources could not have access to Lopez or Garner. Rumors about their respective parenting styles reduce the two to stereotypes.

Many Ben Affleck Myths

Last month, this tabloid claimed Garner feared for Affleck’s finances because he was spending too much on Lopez. Everyone in this situation is a multi-millionaire, so there is nothing to worry about. Garner has better things to do with his time than keep track of his ex’s spending.

Before Lopez and Affleck reunited, this tabloid claimed a Garner reunion was on the horizon. Obviously that didn’t happen. Then there are all those stories about how Lopez is revolted by Affleck for his lack of exercise. They wouldn’t get married if she didn’t think he was cute. the Applicant is nothing if not pathologically wrong with stories about Affleck.

The International Concours d’Elegance (ICE) in St. Moritz is a vintage car show in the same vein as the other Councour’s d’Elegance, but with a different twist. While a classic Concours d’Elegance sees the cars displayed in a more conservative way that preserves the cars as immobile, untouchable pieces of art that are displayed from their perfectly controlled environments, the St. Moritz ICE is much more activate an event.

Held annually on a frozen lake in Switzerland, ICE St. Moritz combines car racing with a show of rare automobiles and other vintage or classic cars (including and especially supercars). The show was touted as one of the “coolest” ways to experience cars the way they were meant to be seen – in motion and challenged by ice and snow conditions.

The 2022 ICE in St. Moritz continues a growing legacy since the 1980s. This year ICE saw huge names and extremely rare cars like Maserati, Ferrari, Mercury, Aston Martin, and more.

Let’s take a closer look at some highlights from ICE 2022 in St. Moritz!

Some cars from ICE St. Moritz 2022

There are showstoppers every year at ICE events, but the 2022 year of race and show at St. Moritz may have seen some of the best cars of all time. Given that the 2020 event was canceled and 2021 held remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the excitement to see the event get back up and running and attendance were both higher than usual. There were just over fifty cars from serious manufacturers in attendance at the 2022 event, and these were categorized by themes. This year’s themes included motorsport, film and ‘lifestyle’ (for those who didn’t fit into the other categories).

Featured and standing out in this year’s lineup was a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO. Considered a “unicorn” by collectors and car enthusiasts, this car belonged to Brad Wang, who has owned it since the early 1990s. According to Wang, he had “done everything with this car…except drive it on ice,” so he wanted the opportunity and ICE St. Moritz was one of the few places to show off the beauty of such terrain. Wang’s GTO is a very original model, with the original chassis, and he is only the fourth documented owner. In a beautiful midnight blue paint, his Ferrari is certainly unique in appearance and originality. This particular year and model is known to sell for up to $70 million.

Several Italian cars were also present, including a pastel blue 1955 Lancia Aurelia B24 S America. Also present was a fully restored Lamborghini Countach LP400 owned and driven by Simon Kidston, who brought the car back from a crashed frame (the roof was on the dashboard!) back to its former glory. This particular model, from 1977, is extremely rare and was the only model to leave the factory with a “Blu Turchese” paint coat among countless others sold in classic red. In his restoration work on the car, Kidston spent a decent amount of time getting the color to match perfectly.

Another stylish Italian car on display at ICE this year was a 1953 Maserati A6GCS Berlinetta. the Maserati factory when it was liquidated in 1996. The family has kept the collection ever since to preserve Maserati’s history.

Some judges even got in on the action to showcase their phenomenal rides. Judge and collector Dr. Cici Muldoon presented a 1974 Ferrari 246 GTS Dino. Affectionately known as “Viola” after the original paint color, Viola Metallizzato, the purple dynamo is worth a estimated at $400,000, which has grown exponentially in recent years.

Also present at the event was an original 1965 Aston Martin DB5 james bond quality, a 1953 Jaguar Type C, a 1965 alloy bodied Ferrari 275 GTB and many other classic, rare and beautiful examples of classic sports and racing cars.

Extreme and winning moments at ICE St. Moritz 2022

When the idea of putting an ICE on real ice was first put forward in the 1980s, it was heavily questioned, and it actually took until 2019 to fully establish the ICE at St. Moritz. With million-dollar cars dancing on the surface of a frozen lake, there needed to be plenty of assurances about the company’s safety.

However, with temperatures around -15 degrees Celsius (around 5 degrees Fahrenheit) and a long history of the lake withstanding other events from the Olympics to horse racing, it was finally decided that the event could continue. The consensus is that it was worth all the years of advocating for.

This year’s ICE event saw most owners slowly increase their speed on the counterclockwise oval of the ice track. Some experienced (or impatient/adventurous) drivers have taken a more direct approach instead. A 1956 Jaguar XKSS was seen gliding through the high-speed turns with deft control.

Later, driver Fritz Burkard also indulged in slides and drifts in his 1939 Maserati 4CL Pear Collection while maintaining full control. The Maserati was equipped with sturdy snow chains and Burkard handled the track with the agility of a professional driver and the style of a driver too, with his leather cap and cigarette.

Rewards were handed out during the event finale. “Best of Show” went to a 1932 Alfa Romeo P3 Tipo B. “Jet Set on Wheels” went to a 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB Alloy, “Vintage Road Racing” to a 1967 Morris Mini Cooper, “Barchettas on Ice” to the 1953 Jaguar C-Type, “Vintage Grand Prix” to the 1939 Maserati 4CL, “InstaLake” to the 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO and “Spirit of St. Moritz” to a 1971 Fiat 130.

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has ordered Jet Airways, which is preparing to resume flight services in the coming months, to leave its office at Mack Star Marketing’s premises in Mumbai.

During the passage of an order on May 6, a three-member bench of NCLAT also said that no monthly fees would be payable to Mack Star Marketing for the use of the premises during the period the airline was in operation. company insolvency resolution procedure course (CIRP) .

Bogged down by financial difficulties, Jet Airways closed its operations in April 2019 and the insolvency resolution process was launched in June of the same year.

The NCLAT’s latest ruling follows a petition filed by Mack Star Marketing against an order issued by the Mumbai Bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in March 2021. The entity had claimed that the NCLT “wrongly justified “the continuation of the occupation. of Jet Airways on the premises.

“Defendant (RP, Jet Airways) is required to return vacant possession of the premises within 15 days from today,” the NCLAT order said.

In addition, the appeals tribunal said Mack Star Marketing was free to take appropriate action on its licensing fee claim after June 22, 2021, when Jet Airways’ CIRP was completed.

“Once possession of the premises has been turned over to the Appellant (Mack Star Marketing) by the Respondent, the Appellant must communicate within 30 days with the Respondent regarding the refund of the security deposit, if any”, said the NCLAT bench, led by the president. Judge Ashok Bhushan, said in the order.

Jet Airways, in 2011, entered into a licensing agreement with Mack Star Marketing to use its building as office space.

In 2018, Jet Airways vacated four office units and large unpaid dues were cleared by Mack Star Marketing from the security deposit. The airline had retained two units and a balance security deposit of Rs 1.35 crore was withheld by the petitioner (Mack Star Marketing).

However, Jet Airways failed to pay the monthly license fee and a notice was also issued in April 2019 asking it to leave the offices if dues are not paid.

In June 2019, the CIRP was initiated against Jet Airways and the moratorium went into effect.

“The mere fact that the CIRP has been triggered and a moratorium has been imposed does not exempt the debtor company from paying for the premises and facilities that the debtor company benefits from during the period of the CIRP,” he said.

The appeal tribunal also said that the premises which were occupied by Jet Airways are business premises and that the appellant was deprived of them for use for a long period “without any justifiable reason”.

However, the NCLAT noted that in the resolution plan, no amount was set aside for the payment of leave and premises license fees. There was no provision to make payment to Mack Star Marketing since the resolution professional never accepted the amount as CIRP costs, the appeals tribunal heard.

“We are therefore of the view that no direction in this appeal can be given for the payment of leave and permit expenses to the appellant during the CIRP period, even though we are satisfied that the appellant was entitled to determine that the monthly fee payable to the caller under the service agreement should have been treated as part of the CIRP costs,” he said.

Much of the mid-Atlantic and northeast has been gripped by a wet and cold pattern in recent days as torrential rains swept across the region. However, AccuWeather forecasters say a major change is on the horizon as hot, dry weather is expected to spread across the northeast over the coming week.

The expected change comes after several days of rain and gloomy weather. Rainfall has been abundant in many areas, with more than 3 inches of rain in parts of Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Eleanor, W.Va, recorded the storm’s highest official total, with 3.46 inches of rain Friday night. Flooding was reported in parts of Appalachia when heavy rain fell and West Virginia emergency management officials attributed a death to the rapid rise in water.

As the storm system producing this rain moves further offshore, a bulge in the jet stream will shift the storm’s track north, allowing most of the region to remain dry and clear. . It will also break records heat in the southern plains slipping north during this week, pushing temperatures to unseasonably high levels.

“Heat is expected to arrive in New England this week with temperatures reaching the 70s and 80s as far north as Maine and much of Canada, where average highs in May only reach the 50s and 60s” , said AccuWeather meteorologist Jessica Storm.

While the start of the week will see only slightly above normal temperatures, more noticeable warmth is expected to arrive by Thursday, when cities like HartfordConnecticut;, BuffaloNY and bangorMaine is expected to have its first 80-degree Fahrenheit day of the season.

As the heat continues to rise on Friday and over the weekend, records in many cities could be at risk. The heat will peak Saturday across much of New England, with temperatures more typical of June or July than early May.

Record temperatures will be possible as far north as Caribou, Maine, where highs are expected to hit the mid-upper 70s by Thursday. The highest recorded temperature for May 12 was 78 degrees in 1992, Storm said.

In the cities of SyracuseDoes not have Plattsburgh and Manchester, NH, high temperatures over the weekend are likely to approach or set record highs. However, in cities like ProvidenceIR and BinghamtonNY temperatures will climb further into the 70s and 80s, although records are less likely to be broken.

While much of the northeast will have summer temperatures on the weekend, mid-Atlantic and southeast regions will have a harder time reaching such high temperatures. With last week’s storm forecast to persist off the southeast coast, increased cloud cover and showers will help keep temperatures at bay. In places such as Baltimore, highs are only expected to hit the 70s this weekend. In these areas, significant rainfall has also fallen in recent days, and with moist and saturated ground, it will take a greater push of warm air to raise temperatures. This contrasts with areas further north, which were largely missed by heavy rains. “Much of New England remained dry which will contribute to a significant increase in heat later this week,” Storm said.

Additionally, locations on the immediate coast may be influenced by cold ocean waters, which could keep temperatures lower. In New England this weekend, high temperatures can be up to 20 degrees lower along the coast than in nearby inland areas.

Temperatures and dry weather this week will be good news for graduation ceremonies and beachgoers, but forecasters have urged people to be careful when outside in the heat, especially when they exercise or other strenuous activities. Those hoping to cool off at the beach will also want to be aware of the water temperature and the risk of cold water shock. While the air will be unusually warm for this time of year, temperature readings in the ocean and lakes are still quite low, significantly lower than they would be during the summer.

Much like the plains regions which are currently in the grip of record heat, little to no rain is expected for most of the northeast as temperatures rise. However, unlike the drought-stricken areas of Texas and Oklahoma, most parts of the Northeast have had near or above normal rainfall depending on the weather. US Drought Monitor.

The jet-set fashion show is back, with its sunny decor and international front row. But the new world order complicates the seating plan.

In Chanel’s first fashion show outside France since the pandemic, the Monte Carlo waterfront paraded past a competition of models dressed in a light-hearted tribute to grand prix glitz. The 67 models wore racing driver suits crafted in pastel tweed and gold lamé, and helmets emblazoned with the No. 5.

Ukrainian and Russian customers watched from the hotel’s lounge chairs that replaced the gilded chairs at Paris fashion week. Chanel has been the target of social media vitriol in Russia after boutiques in Dubai refused to sell handbags to customers who sales staff said were likely to take the items home to Russia, citing the compliance with the law on sanctions.

“We take the sanctions laws very seriously. The impact on our business is not what we are thinking about right now,” Bruno Pavlovsky, president of fashion at Chanel, said in a video call ahead of the Monte Carlo show. “But we also have many Russian customers who live permanently abroad – in Dubai, on the Riviera, everywhere – and there is no reason why we cannot invite them to the show, as well as customers Ukrainians.”

Actor Kristen Stewart flew in from Los Angeles and rapper G-Dragon from Seoul, while Princess Caroline of Monaco arrived from her nearby beachfront villa. The dress code on the catwalk was glamorous and ironic, with baseball caps, fingerless gloves and black and white plaid sweaters. There were also nods to casino culture with tiny handbags fashioned to look like slot machines and decks of playing cards.

Cruise collections have become popular among people looking for fashion inspiration for summer vacation. Photography: REX/Shutterstock

But for Chanel, which has grown its digital following during the pandemic, the audience that really matters isn’t the few hundred on the lounge chairs, but those the images will reach via Instagram and TikTok. Much like the release of a new album or the release of a music video, a cruise collection showcase is a device to draw the eyes of the world to what Chanel looks like.

“In the past, we were very focused on the people invited to the show, but now we are thinking just as much about the people who are not in the room,” Pavlovsky said. “Making a good show is a way of feeding the imagination of what Chanel is. The guests here in Monte-Carlo are privileged, of course, but they are no longer the only ones we think of.

The Cruise collections, unveiled in May but not on sale until November, were originally designed for an elite needing a warm weather wardrobe for the winter sun. But they have become popular fashion content for consumers looking for inspiration for their summer vacation wardrobes. With many shoppers ready to pack their bags for the first time in three years, this cruise season is set to be more hyped than ever, defying predictions that international fashion shows would die out.

Designer Virginie Viard collaborated with directors Sofia and Roman Coppola on a trailer for the show, which combines a video of models wearing the new collection lying on speedboats with images of Grace Kelly in a tweed suit, Coco Chanel wearing a Breton stripe sweater on vacation, and Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista in sequined Chanel on the Riviera. “We learned a lot about how to maximize storytelling through digital channels,” Pavlovsky said.

Demand for Chanel has rebounded so much after the pandemic that, despite price increases for basic handbag styles having far exceeded inflation, boutiques have limited sales to one handbag per month for each customer in order to keep stock on the shelves. Pavlovsky defended the price increases, which he attributed to increases in the cost of raw materials and the costs incurred by adopting more sustainable production. “I don’t see any way to reverse that,” he said. “Things are going to get even more expensive.”

Paris (AFP)- French singer and actress Régine, who claimed the invention of the modern nightclub and once ran a nightclub empire from Paris to Los Angeles, died on Sunday at the age of 92, her granddaughter announced at the AFP.

Régine, born Regina Zylberberg in Belgium, opened her first club in the Latin Quarter in Paris in the 1950s, replacing the jukebox, ubiquitous in dance halls at the time, with turntables and disc jockeys.

The new format, she often said, vindicated her claim to “the invention of the disco”.

She said, “If you can’t dance, you can’t have sex.”

New discos spread to the jet set and Regine, who became known as the “Queen of the Night”, opened several other venues, including “Regine’s” in New York in the 1970s, and others in Miami , Rio de Janeiro and Los Angeles.

“Régine left us peacefully at 11 a.m. (09:00 GMT) on May 1,” said her granddaughter Daphne Rotcajg.

In a statement sent on behalf of his friend Régine’s family, comedian Pierre Palmade said: “The queen of the night is gone. Closing time after a long and beautiful career.”

Régine “made the stars of the whole world dance in her nightclubs”, he added.

At its peak, Régine’s disco empire included 22 establishments.

Her name “became synonymous with the crazy nights that lasted until the early hours,” Palmade said, adding that Régine herself “would be on the dance floor until closing time.”

Although she is most famous internationally as a nightclub entrepreneur, at home Regine has always been more highly regarded for her contribution to French songwriting.

French singer Renaud called her the last historical representative of French song, inspiring a whole generation of singer-songwriters, including Serge Gainsbourg and Barbara.

After performing in the mythical hall of the Olympia in the French capital in the 1960s, Régine sang at Carnegie Hall in New York and was warmly welcomed by an American audience, a feat that only Edith Piaf could match among French singers.

“It would make me very happy if people were still listening to my songs 50 years from now,” she told AFP in 2020, adding that she was “very proud” that some of them are now part of the French standard repertoire.

“My first job was nightclubs,” she said. “For a long time, songs were just a hobby. But now I realize that performing has been the most important part of my life.”

GASBUDDY (WANE) The national average price for a gallon of diesel fuel reached $5.16 per gallon according to GasBuddy, eclipsing the previous high of $5.15 set on March 10. The price gap between a gallon of regular unleaded and diesel also set a new record; diesel prices are now a dollar more than gasoline prices. The previous record difference of 98 cents per gallon was set in November 2008.

“While gasoline prices get a lot of attention, diesel, which is basically the fuel that displaces the
economy, quietly surpassed its recent record high as distillate stocks, which include
diesel and jet fuel, fell to their lowest level in years,” said Patrick De Haan, head of
petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “If distillate inventories drop another five million barrels,
which is less than 5%, they will be at their lowest level for almost 20 years, which aggravates
the problem. There is no quick fix as the economy has experienced a robust recovery,
compounded by Russia’s war on Ukraine as the West shuts down Russian oil.

Diesel and gasoline prices reached record highs in early to mid-March, mainly due to
Russia’s war against Ukraine and the response with sanctions on Russian energy. The recent
The resurgence in diesel prices can be attributed to the continued worsening of the situation and
the fall in inventories of oil and refined products, such as diesel, as well as the recovery in demand
goods move across the country, much of it diesel-powered in semi-trucks, trains
and ships.

Diesel prices in the North East are likely to rise above any other region due to the loss of refining
capacity resulting from both Covid-induced shutdowns and a 2019 fire at Philadelphia Energy
Solutions Refinery in 2019. Together these issues caused the loss of nearly half a million
barrels in refining capacity. Diesel prices are likely to remain at a high price compared to
as imbalances persist, however, refiners are likely adjusting yields to produce as much
diesel and jet fuel. The economy favors the production of these refined products and refiners hunt
higher market value of these fuels.
