EmBe Dress for Success collects clothing donations for Mother’s Day

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — You can make your mom proud this Mother’s Day and all you have to do is donate clothes you no longer wear.

The clothing store for EmBe’s dress of success has just about everything a woman needs if she is looking to start a career or further her career.

“Often women are looking for different opportunities, whether they are unemployed or employed, and just the fact that we can give them confidence, help support them and keep them at the center of what we do, is the biggest priority. of what we do,” said female programming general manager Megan Bartel.

The association depends on donations. You can help through the Movers for Moms Program.

Two men and a truck collect clothes until May 4, then donate them to Dress for Success.

“When we move we purge everything so what better way to support our community than to have women clean out their closets so we do that while we move you in the trucks then we have multiple locations across Sioux Graves with donation boxes,” said Two Men and a Truck general manager Angela Drake.

Last year they collected 15,000 items of clothing, this year the goal is 20,000 items.

“Our most needed items are black pants, non-slip shoes, maternity clothes, any type of safety boots,” Bartel said.

Donations will be dropped off the day after Mother’s Day.

A program to help give confidence, clothing and support to women of all ages.

“The Sioux Falls community absolutely overwhelms us with so many donations, and we just got a few of our collection sites and amazing customers back from the trucks, and this community is brimming with donors, so we’re thrilled for what we’ve already received, but excited to see what more we’re going to get,” Drake said.
