Five valuable watches stolen from Wilton


A NUMBER of valuable watches have been stolen from a property in Wilton.

The burglary occurred at Burcombe Lane on Friday afternoon (October 10).

The offender (s) entered it by forcing entry through the back door, then searched one of the rooms, stealing a number of items, including five expensive watches.

As part of police investigations, a 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary, as well as drug and driving offenses.

He was questioned and released on bail while the investigation continues.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: ‘We would ask anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area that afternoon, or saw watches for sale under suspicious circumstances, to call Salisbury CID.

“Anyone with information should call DC Eleanor Darcy on 101, citing criminal reference 54210098372. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
