House Of is looking for a temporary account manager in New York for 3 months maternity leave, from mid-July to mid-October. This role will develop and implement communications strategies, oversee communications with clients and ensure strategic media coverage of a range of fashion / lifestyle brands, while managing junior staff and working closely with the House Of team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement communication strategies that increase brand awareness, stimulate media coverage and amplify the brand’s message
  • Oversee account activity and manage communication with customers across all brands
  • Provide strategic media coverage on print and digital media, including features and product placement
  • Oversee editorial requests and sample traffic through daily correspondence with editors and stylists
  • Develop press material including press releases, brand biographies, media alerts, etc.
  • Monitor industry trends and create compelling pitch angles for all brands
  • Possess an understanding of Affiliate Marketing and its role in today’s editorial landscape
  • Manage VIP and influencer activations and oversee product seeding
  • Run seasonal press previews, brand launches and virtual desksides
  • Maintain strong relationships with leading editors, writers, stylists and influencers
  • Oversee daily monitoring of media coverage and distribution to clients
  • Oversee monthly press reports for all accounts
  • Manage the daily tasks of two account coordinators

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of public relations experience with a focus on fashion and lifestyle brands
  • Initiative with strong skills in management, organization, multitasking and time management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing day-to-day execution and the big picture
  • Experience with FashionGPS, Cision, Canva and Google Suites
