New earthy color palette for VitrA’s Plural bathroom range

Designer Terri Pecora delves into the cleansing and soulful effects of sage, terracotta and stone

In partnership with Vitra

Color has an emotional and spiritual impact as well as an aesthetic one, affecting mood and behavior. With the tones and textures of a bathroom contributing to a sense of calm and well-being, VitrA has introduced three new colorways to its sculptural Plural range.

Created in collaboration with Milanese bathroom expert Terri Pecora, born in Los Angeles, the Plural one-piece basins, basins and basins are now available in Matt Clay Beige, Matt Moss Green and Matt Terra Rossa, in addition to the classics, White , Matt Options white, matt taupe and matt black. Building on the natural tones of sage, terracotta and stone, these new earthy hues, says Pecora, help personalize the bathroom.

“The color palette and textures featured in the new collection are not normally associated with a bathroom environment,” she says. ‘Plural is very furniture-oriented and aims to make the bathroom a versatile living space where you can spend time, at ease.’

In their new colourways, the designs can be paired with a complementary palette to transform a bathroom into a vibrant and colorful space, or paired with a more understated palette to make the sink stand out as a centerpiece.

Common bathing spaces and rituals guided Pecora’s design philosophy for the Plural collection. Positioning the bathroom’s original function as a social hub – a space of shared intimacy where people come together to reconnect with themselves, close friends and family, the distinctive collection includes midcentury-inspired furnishings. century, designer washbasins and sculpturally complementary toilets.

Incorporating VitrA’s technologically smart details, the collection features innovative piping that allows sinks to be installed in any part of the room. Multiple sinks can be positioned away from the wall, even in the center of the room, allowing complete design freedom. A wall-hung vertical mirror swings from side to side, allowing for shared use, while Plural sinks and basins are versatile and can be used in combination with bespoke furniture. “The plural consists of a group of elements intended to be used together or separately,” explains Pecora.
