It means so much to me to win this award in the city where I grew up and to be part of the cultural conversation of Expo and Dubai. benefited from Dubai’s past and I’m excited to contribute to its future as well. My artwork reflected the theme of ‘Beauty connects people’, and I wanted to show a mix of colors and connections through intersecting lines, as well that create a lot of complexity and depth that would draw people here and give them a sense of peace, harmony and completion through connection,” Nima said.

The winning work is currently on display at the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai.
