Phillips Collection Market and Events Calendar for Fall HPMKT 2021
Four major events are announced this year by the Phillips Collection for this year Autumn Highlight Market. Each event will feature a major theme and talk about recurring industry trends. The focus will be on maintaining a sense of social engagement, enduring support and connectivity with design, commerce and hospitality.
The first event will take place at the Center Stage, located between the transport terminal and the Showplace building, at 11 a.m. on Sunday, October 17. Environmentally friendly manufacturing: a look behind the scenes is an insightful discussion in conjunction with a partnership between High Point Market Authority and the Sustainable furniture advice.
Joining the conversation is Nancy Fire, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Design Works International, as she weighs in on her talking points about the world of sustainability in manufacturing. Also joining the event is Brian Brigham of Kaleen rug, Jay Hertwig from Unifi inc., Erin Weston from Weston Farms and Jason Phillips, vice president of marketing and sales for Phillips Collection.
The panel will focus on educating participants on the importance of sustainability. By recounting their own experiences, speakers will share their insight on the issue and offer insight into sourcing wood, fibers and other sustainable materials to support the green mission.
Participants who find more interest in socializing will have the opportunity to do so by attending the Southern hospitality event that takes place at 4 p.m. on the same day. Meatball and moonlight caterer, attendees will have the chance to watch the latest and most recent fall presentations. While the event will feature an assortment of product giveaways, one lucky participant will have the chance to win an Onyx Bowl.
The next day, Monday, October 18, at 9:30 a.m., Phillips Collection will organize a hybrid event. Allow attendants to join the event thanks to Zoom’s capabilities and in-person occupancy, Live from HPMKT with Mark Phillips and Barrie Livingstone on Navigating Luxury will connect the industry globally. CEO of the Phillips Collection, Mark Phillips and retailer, author and designer of Barrie House, Barrie Livingstone, will cover the luxury sailing discussion. Guests online and in person will be able to tour a 400,000 square foot warehouse. Visitors will be treated to brunch-style bites, coffee and tea to enjoy while browsing the collections.
17 hours, Hospitality at Market Mixer will present and host a famous designer, Kelli Ellis. Focusing on attracting crowds for the hospitality and contract industries, there will be a meet and greet with Ellis, offering Mediterranean cuisine and curated cocktails. Throughout the schedule, the Phillips Collection will provide their new printed catalog, Impress, which will present the group’s product range.
