Toys, clothing needed for Carilion’s Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Holiday Campaign

ROANOKE, Virginia (WFXR) – Giving gifts shouldn’t be limited to friends and family.

This is why Carilion is organizing a special collection of toys and clothes for the patients of its child and adolescent psychiatry department.

“The children in our unit benefit tremendously from the items donated. In addition to using toys as rewards for positive reinforcement, many children simply don’t have access to the necessary clothing or comfort items that many consider basic items.

Lisa Dishner, RN, Senior Director of Nursing in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine
